Chelsea Light Moving is a four piece rock group lead by singer/songwriter Thurston Moore, best known as one of the founding members of Sonic Youth. Releasing its debut LP on the prestigious Matador Records in 2012, Chelsea Light Moving has had a fairly easy time spreading its name and its music, due to the Moore's cult following. Making a type of music that leans more towards psychedelic, than shoegaze, Chelsea Light Moving signals a stylistic departure for Moore who has been busy either making fuzzed out alt rock with Sonic Youth or acoustic, folk material with his solo endeavors.
