Norwegian-born artist Rebekka Karijord is a singer/songwriter and musician based in Stockholm, Sweden. Though she studied theater in school and even performed a dramatic musical monologue called Rebekkas Saga for a month-long run throughout Oslo and Stockholm, she has always held a special affinity for music. After writing her first song at three years old, recording her own demo at the age of eight and taking on piano and violin during her adolescence, Karijord earned a major recording contract at 17 and has since gone on to compose pop-based songs filled with playful and powerful narratives. Starting with her 2003 debut album, Neophyte, Karijord has been releasing both piano and computer-based compositions with her emotive voice filling out the majority of her soundscapes.
