The Portland, Oregon based thrash metal band Whrmacht is a band that prides itself on breakneck guitar screeches, intricate drum arrangements and harrowing vocals. The band's ethos is an in-your-face style of antagonist punk that's hard for some people to truly understand, but if you've been listening to intense hard rock your entire life, you'll probably "get" what the band is trying to communicate with its music. Formed in the mid-80s, Wehrmacht has experienced a number of career ups and downs - breaking up in 1991, only to reform in 2008 - but as the group continues to tour, it manages to consistently prove that its a strong band capable of unleashing its intense sonic ferocity during every performance.
