Amy Cook

Amy Cook is a singer/songwriter from San Jose whose unique style of folksy Americana has helped define her as one of the more recognizable figures on the modern indie folk scene. Though Cook first established herself after moving to Los Angles and finding success licensing her songs to television and film, after becoming disenfranchised with the city she sought inspiration elsewhere. She relocated to the small town of Marfa, Texas in 2004, and managed to truly find her characteristic style. Cook went on to self-record a collection songs that would eventually become her well-respected 2005 album, The Bunkhouse Recordings.
