The hip-hop duo Drunken Tiger(드렁큰타이거) was formed in 1999 in South Korea. In 2005, DJ Shine(DJ 샤인) left the group and Tiger JK(타이거 JK) continued as a solo artist. Despite of the fact that hip-hip was not part of the mainstream of the Korean music market in 1999, the release of his first album, Year of the Tiger, was sensational. Following albums like The Legend Of... and Feel gHood Muzik earned a great reputation as top hip-hop artist. Tiger JK created a hip-hop crew named "The Movement" which includes members of a fair number of other well-known hip-hop groups such as Epik High, Dynamic Duo, Leessang, and Supreme Team and greatly influences hip-hop music market in South Korea.
