Kan Wakan

Kan Wakan is a Los Angeles-based outfit the shatters the genre mold with an undeniably contemporary sound. Weaving elements of orchestral pop, modern jazz, psychedelic soul and rock and roll into one cohesive sonic tapestry, the group began as the brainchild of Bulgarian artist Gueorgui I. Linev, who initially set out to form a small orchestral ensemble before the project evolved into Kan Wakan. With vocalist Kristianne Bautista and a cast of proficient musicians on board, Kan Wakan earned immediate critical acclaim after releasing its debut EP, Forever Found, in 2013.
