6Blocc is a Los Angeles-based DJ who got his start back in 1985, when he first started spinning at clubs. Battling fellow DJs before turntablism and DJ culture was even created, he is regarded as a founding father of the scene. Though 6Blocc has never achieved mainstream acceptance or reaped the financial benefits of having multiple hit tracks, he has nevertheless remained an important cornerstone and figure of the modern turntablism.
