Mononc' Serge

Hailing from Quebec, Mononc' Serge is a singer/songwriter and musician whose style has been defined by the stark contrast between his crass lyrics and use of the French language. Born Serge Robert, he adopted the pseudonym Mononc' Serge, a French saying for Uncle Serge, when he kicked off his solo career in 1995. The name stuck, and after he teamed up with the Thrash metal band Anonymus in 2003, the outfit operated under the shared moniker Mononc' Serge & Anonymus. On top of his collection of records with Anonymus, which include the band's 2003 debut L'Academie du massacre, Serge continues to drop new material as a solo artist.
