In 2015 the Australian band Spookyland released its first album, premiered by the song "Bulimic". Its music is rich, alternating between elements of traditional folk music and powerful post-rock. The nasal voice of Marcus Gordon, the singer, reminds us of Bob Dylan, Nick Cave and Brian Molko from the band Placebo. What characterizes Spookyland is the diversity of each song; sometimes emotional like War on Drugs, sometimes very energetic, the music features a very unique blend of genres.
