Delphine Galou is a Parisian contralto. She studied music and philosophy at Sorbonne University, and was selected as the French Association for the Promotion of Young Artists’ (Adami) 2004 “Discovery of the Year.” Galou’s early career was filled with baroque ensemble collaborations with groups such as I Barocchisti, Accademia Bizantina, Les Arts Florissants, and Les Musiciens du Louvre Grenoble. Galou is also an active concert soloist and performs in recital programs. Her major operatic roles include Orpheus in Orfeo ed Euridice, Orlando in Vivaldi’s Orlando Furioso, and Lucretia in The Rape of Lucretia.
