San Deigo-based band Battalion of Saints emerged in 1980 with a hardcore punk sound. Though the group initially underwent various lineup changes that led to a break up in 1985, it reformed in 1995 with founder and singer George Anthony and punk veteran Terry "Tezz" Robert. Battalion of Saints released its first LP, Cuts, in 1996 and subsequently built a massive cult following in the underground punk scenes of the world.
