Born and raised in Rio De Janeiro, Jheison Failde de Souza aka Ferrugem is a pagoda singer-songwriter. Inspired by his mother who was a backup singer for Tim Maia, Elba Ramalho and other popular artists, Ferrugem became a part of Chega Pagoda group at the age of 12. He bought his first tanta at 13 and started uploading his own songs and interpretations of other artists on the internet. Ferrugem became widely popular for his single "Antes Só Que Lou Accompanied " released on YouTube. A melodious voice and infectious rhythm coupled with an aim to re-energize samba, Ferrugem emerged as one of the finest influencers of samba.
