Black metal band The Great Old Ones derives inspiration for its music and lyrics from the life and works of critically acclaimed author H. P. Lovecraft. The band was formed in 2009 in Bordeaux, France. The band debuted with the album Al Azif and followed it up with Tekeli-li.
