The Lost Fingers are a Canadian gypsy jazz band from Quebec, Canada. Formed in 2006, the band consists of three members: Alex Morissette, Byron Mikaloff and François Rioux. The trio has released five studio albums, two live albums and two EPs. The Lost Fingers’ music is a unique blend of gypsy jazz, swing, pop, rock and Latin music. Their sound is characterized by the use of acoustic guitars, double bass, violin, accordion and clarinet. The band has been praised for their creative and innovative approach to music, which has earned them a loyal fan base. The Lost Fingers have performed at numerous festivals and events around the world, including the Montreal International Jazz Festival, the Ottawa Bluesfest, the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal and the Festival d'été de Québec. They have also collaborated with renowned artists such as Pink Martini, Caro Emerald and The Puppini Sisters. The Lost Fingers have received numerous awards and accolades, including the Félix Award for Best World Music Album of the Year in 2009 and the Canadian Folk Music Award for World Group of the Year in 2011. Their music has been featured in films, television shows and commercials, and they have been featured in publications such as Rolling Stone, Billboard and The New York Times.
