Long Beach hip-hop collective Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All, or Odd Future for short, has stirred up quite the controversy around its name. Led by Tyler, the Creator (yes that's his full MC name, comma and all), the remainder of the group of MCs is made up of teenagers between the age of 15 and 18, who don't censor themselves and have a tendency to blatantly rap about highly taboo topics, including rape and graphic murders, which has led people to categorize their music as horrorcore, despite their adamant denial of this genre association. Odd Future is also known for biting the hand that feeds it, generally dissing any publication that lauds the group with acclaim. However, despite these interesting tactics, Odd Future is consistently mentioned as one of the forerunners on the hip-hop scene, with hard-hitting beats and impeccable rhymes that have caused the group to be dubbed the next Wu Tang Clan.
