Long Beach based indie folk collective Red River formed when front man Bill Roberts was in high school. Six years later, the group is still going strong, with a continuously shifting lineup that can be made up of anywhere from 8-20 musicians at a time. Blending earnest vocals with a full horn section and the occasional 8-bit pop melody, the group creates music that is both intimate and densely layered. Known for the energy of its live shows aided by audience participation in the harmonies of many of the songs, Red River is a band made to be seen in a live setting.
