David Bustamante

In 2002, after becoming one of the finalists on the hit television program Operación Triunfo, which is Spain's equivalent of American Idol, David Bustamante was immediately catapulted to fame. The same year, Bustamante released his debut solo album, which was a perfect example of romantic Latin pop, and toured extensively throughout his native country. Since then, the pop star has spread his fame to Latin America and somewhat to the US, his third album Al filo de la irrealidad has gone platinum and he is considered one of Spain's premier heartthrobs.
