New York-based Anamanaguchi claims to use a 1985 Nintendo Super NES to make almost all of its music. The hyper, neon sounds of the NES make for an epileptic listening experience, which is then amplified by the fact that Anamanaguchi injects punk percussion into many of its tracks, resulting in a truly neck-breaking experience. The band has chosen to self-release much of its music, presumably due to the copyrighted glitch samples lifted from 1980s Nintendo games. The band does tour though, offering a live experience worthy of any die-hard gamer's extracurricular time.
