Due to encouragement from his manager in the 1960s, Scottish comic Billy Connolly took a sharp turn away from his original dream of being a folk musician in order to pursue his true talent of making people laugh. The BAFTA Lifetime Achievement recipient was the only guest on the BBC's hit talk show Parkinson to appear in over fifteen episodes, mainly because of his impact when he first appeared on the show telling a dirty joke - rare for the time in 1970 - that solidified Collonoy's place in comedy history. That one appearance ended up taking him all around the world. Connolly manages to stay relevant with timeless jokes and exaggerated stories from his life experiences that he delivers in his iconically thick Scottish accent.
