When a few individuals met at the High Sierra Music Festival in Northern California in 2006 and started bemoaning the lack of quality R&B, funk and soul bands in the modern music scene, they decided to start a band to fill the void and fulfill the public's craving for the style. With powerful horn arrangements, jumpy bass lines and Akina Adderley's sassy voice, the group manages to round the bases and sound like a characteristic funk and soul band that has been playing to packed audiences and honing its sound since the 1970s. Based out of Austin, Texas, the group carries on a respectable touring schedule and traverses the United States regularly, playing to folks who're in need of a healthy dose of quality funk and soul music.
