London-based singer/songwriter Andrew Davie writes melancholic folk-styled ballads that showcase his acute skills on the acoustic guitar. Not wanting to craft easily-accessible pop tunes has led Davie down a unique path that's paved with mope-filled lyrics and an appreciation for the things that make life difficult to endure. While some folks are undoubtedly inspired to lay down on train tracks in front of a steaming locomotive after listening to some of Davie's doleful tunes, others no doubt consider the musician to be one of the more gifted troubadours of his generation. Since his debut in 2008 he has managed to find a fairly respectable fan base that looks up to him as an endearingly afflicted balladeer.
