Deathcrush

An odd amalgam of noise rock, No Wave and punk rock, Deathcrush is an Oslo, Norway-based trio that has quickly risen the indie ranks in its home country. The band combines sinister, rudimentary bass lines, minimalist disco beats and flares of distorted dissonance in its brief songs. Its members received their break when Japanese noise rock stalwarts Melt Banana played Norway and requested Deathcrush as its openers. Since then, the group has quickly gained increased interest and opportunities to play international festivals and showcases. Deathcrush is also known for its quirky lyrical tastes, often working pop culture or hip-hop references into its material.
