Jim Kroft is a Berlin-based British singer-songwriter. He started his musical career in London before shifting base to Berlin in 2017 as a member of the band Myriad Creatures. He decided to part ways with the group in 2010 after releasing one album with the group. He released his debut album Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea through the label Sidewalk 7 Records later that year. His single "Memoirs from the Afterlife" made it to many Top 100 charts in Germany, making him one of the few independent artists to achieve the feat. The single received support from major radio stations such as Absolute Radio, BBC 2 and BBC London back home in the UK. When not producing music, he played at venues such as White Trash in Berlin and supported artists like Peaches and Airborne Toxic Event at their concerts. The release of his second album The Hermit and the Hedonist, released in 2011, was followed by a supporting tour with British singer Anna Calvi. He went on a tour of Germany in 2013 to promote his third studio venture Lunatic Lullabies. Apart from his work in music, Kroft has been a part of documentaries such as Journeys #1, Journeys #2, The March of Hope and The White Arrow.
