The Brooklyn-based electronic music producer Kotchy began his musical development as a drummer and it shows. He's a versatile instrumentalist, often playing all the instruments in his glitchy, experimental compositions, but even at their most abstract, they are always guided by a strong and distinct rhythmic pulse. A former member of the seminal New York bands The Epochs and Violet, Kotchy has a wide ranging set of musical interests and has done high profile remixes for Fisherspooner, Empire of the Sun and Tricky. Live, Kotchy is a whirlwind of activity. His sets involve recreating a portable version of his studio and see him looping drum beats, vocals and synth lines to create something that's effortlessly memorable and unique.
