Los Angeles DJ/production duo Mustard Pimp is comprised of friends Baron and eKa, who make fist-pumping, metal-inspired electro-house. Mustard Pimp is among a larger array of US club music producers who are working in the relatively formulaic genre, where tracks are constructed around "drops," and are often referred to as "DJ tools" by DJs who find the music too easy to mix . Mustard Pimp is one of the more successful electro-house production duos in the US and is signed to celebrity-child Steve Aioki's Dim Mak records, a bastion for glamorous, party-centric electro-house. The duo's debut album, Disco, was released in 2011.
