Based out of Taipei, Taiwan, Unfamiliar Friends Party is a quartet specializing in laptop compositions. Essentially creating bitpop, or "video game music" as the band calls it, Unfamiliar Friends Party gained prominence after forming in 2007 through playing nearly every Taiwanese electronic music festival and venue. With a live show consisting of the four members bouncing on stage behind their MacBooks, occasionally singing vocals into their microphones, Unfamiliar Friends Party has a minimal set up, but offers a highly energetic performance.
