Formed in 1973, the US Navy Band Country Current is a 7-piece country bluegrass ensemble that has had a consistently rotating lineup of Navy officers since its inception. Full of bluegrass strings and honky tonk vocals that croon pro-American topics, Country Current is a favorite at congressional dinners, Navy recruitment events, Nascar races and Southern music festivals. Intermixing country classics with original material in its live sets, the septet has won over audiences across the US both for its instrumental prowess and patriotism.
