Joan Vinyals is a jazz guitarist from Barcelona that is internationally renowned for his skill on the guitar and for his promotion of jazz music throughout Spain. Joan began performing at the age of 14 when he formed the band Fuego! (Fire!) with his schoolmates in 1972 immediately scoring recognition from Barcelona's music scene and earning him a place at Barcelona's Municipal Conservatory of Music shortly thereafter. Since then, Joan has gone on to form numerous successful jazz ensembles while earning multiple awards for his music over the course of his decades-spanning career.
