Georg Philipp Telemann is one of the most highly regarded composers to come out of the 18th Century. A master of multiple instruments himself, Telemann was known to combine instruments in unique ways through his compositions, which also featured textured dimensions from Telemann's travels and forays into different regional sounds. A contemporary of Bach, Vivaldi and Handel, the Telemann (himself, a German) emerged from a revolutionary era for classical music. His breadth of compositions ranged from oratorios to operas to cantatas to orchestral suites. His depth and range of work remains to be a treasured and instrumental volume of musical contributions to this day.
