Nils Wülker is a modern jazz trumpeter and composer who hails from Germany. After taking up piano lessons at age seven, he discovered his affinity for the trumpet and classically-oriented compositions at age ten. It wasn't until he went to study in the US that he discovered the acid-jazz and the smooth stylings of Miles Davis. From there, he harnessed his own modern jazz style and released his debut album High Spirits in 2002. He's since become an ardent sideman, collaborator and band leader while also amassing an impressive discography or records like 2012's Just Here, Just Now and 2015's Up.
