Gentricorum is a Canadian music outfit that plays a winsome blend of folk styles from all across the globe. The Montreal trio, which consists of Yann Falquet (guitar, vocals), Pascal Gemme (fiddle, vocals) and Alexandre de Grosbois-Garand (flute, bass, vocals), formed in 2000 and has since established itself as one of Canada's more notable acoustic acts. While Gentricorum's music likely will never be considered flashy or particularly forward-thinking, it manages to seamlessly weave characteristics pulled from Celtic traditions and purist folk into pleasant songs, that are bolstered by an intricate attention to detail and the musical synchronicity of its members.
