The Freimarkt is a traditional festival which takes place for two weeks every October. These two weeks are known as the 'fifth season' to locals. Over 950 years old, the festival attracts visitors from far and wide. The highlight of the festival is the colorful procession on the second Saturday, when over a hundred imaginatively decorated floats drive through the city center.
