Romesh Ranganathan is a comedian of Sri Lankan descent. His initial career choice was that of a math teacher at a school in his hometown Crawley, UK. He picked up first freestyle rap and then comedy while he was a teacher. As a rapper, Ranganathan went by the stage name Ranga. As a comedian, he has appeared on various comedy shows such as Would I Lie to You?, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Have I Got News for You and Mock the Week. Apart from being on panels of various comedy shows, Ranganathan has also hosted and presented various shows for networks such as BBC, Sky One and ITV.
