The Festival of Folk Arts is held in August every year to commemorate St. Stephen's Day. St. Stephen is the patron saint and founder of Hungary. This event is organized by the Association of Hungarian Folk Artists. The festival sees the best of Finnish craftsmanship and folk art, and also highlights the traditional music and dance forms of Finland. On the 20th of August, i.e. on St. Stephen's Day itself, the craftsmen and dancers take out a parade in the city and they also solemnize the ceremonial breaking of newly baked bread.
