The historic South Bohemian town of Cesky Krumlov attracts crowds of visitors every summer to this festival, which offers classical music fans a series of concerts. Most of the performances take place in the many halls, courtyards, and gardens of the town's enormous castle. Previous years' performers have included the Russian soprano Olga Makarina, the American tenor Bruce Fowler, the Wihan Quartet, the Prague Chamber Philharmonic and the Czech guitar maestro Stepan Rak. Operas are performed on the revolving stage in the castle garden.
