After a failed attempt at medical school, French comedian, singer and actor Roland Magdane decided pull a 180 and attend acting school. He eventually found his niche in musical comedy and made the rounds on the stand-up circuit with his hybrid pop tunes and stand-up. After an invitation to perform at the fifth anniversary of the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, Magdane began to make the transition into western audiences and found himself in Los Angeles by the end of the decade 1980s. He spent the next nine years touring the US, building a solid reputation in comedy circles and becoming recognizable for his thick, caterpillar-like mustache. Magdane has since continued to tour world wide, capturing the hearts of audiences with his ironic French humor.
