Sounding like a forgotten artist from the classic Americana soundtrack to O Brother, Where Art Thou?, San Francisco's the Brothers Comatose offers just enough of a lively spin to make it an excellent addition to the modern folk/country scene. The band's five members (only two of whom are actually brothers), mesh traditional, acoustic American roots music with an energetic spirit that draws comparisons to like-minded revivalists such as The Devil Makes Three.
