Skinlab is a hard rock band from San Francisco that helped pioneer the now iconic groove metal style in the mid-1990s. Founded in 1994, Skinlab would gig around the Northern California hard rock scene during its formative years before releasing its debut album, Bound, Gagged and Blindfolded, in 1997. Though the group has gone through a number of hiatuses, break ups and lineup changes during its decades long existence, it's currently releasing new music and touring, helping solidify its standing in the American metal canon.
