During the 1990s, the American public fell in love with several acts that looked and sounded like they just emerged from a frat party. Blues Traveler, Dave Matthews Band and Hootie & the Blowfish were part of this movement, as was G. Love and Special Sauce. The group was formed in Philadelphia in 1992 and with a sound that pulls heavily from blues as well as jam rock, the band was perfectly at home with its other peers during their 1990s heyday. While some of these bands fell off or dissipated, G. Love and Special Sauce managed to stay relevant and change its sound with the evolving music community.
