K.A.A. Gent is a Belgian football club representing the city of Ghent in East Flanders in the Belgian Pro League. Since its formation in 1900, the club has faced many promotions and relegations and has played in both, the first and second divisions of the professional league. It recorded its first major victory in 1964 and was one of the first Belgian teams to compete in the UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup. It has since recorded multiple wins in the Belgian Cup, UEFA Intertoto Cup, UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League. Nicknamed ‘De Buffalos,’ the club moved its home fixtures from the Jules Ottenstadion to the Ghelamco Arena in 2013.
