Founded in 2015, West Virginia Black Bears is a Short-Season A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Representing the city of Granville, West Virginia in the Pinckney Division of the New York–Penn League, the team won its first League championship in its debut season. Playing its home games at Monongalia County Ballpark, the team has created some everlasting memories on this ground.
