Born in Texas and raised in Southeastern Oklahoma, Stoney LaRue is a country singer/songwriter with deep roots in The South. After moving to Stillwater, OK to pursue a career in music, he solidified his red dirt/texas country style by jamming with fellow artists Cody Canada and Jason Boland. As leader of The Organic Boogie Band, LaRue released the album Downtown in 2002, followed by his debut solo effort The Red Dirt Album, in 2005. He released two live album before recording and releasing his follow-up studio album Velvet, in 2011.
