The Hickory Crawdads is an American minor league baseball team that competes in the Northern Division of the South Atlantic League. Founded in 1977, the club currently acts as the Class-A affiliate for the Texas Rangers and has seen a number of star MLB players pass through its system, including Carlos Lee, Andrew McCutchen and Jose Bautista. The team hosts its home games at L.P. Frans Stadium in Hickory, North Carolina.
