The Riptide Movement is an indie rock band from Dublin that was formed in 2006 by vocalist and guitarist Mal Tuohy, bassist Ger McGarry, guitarist John Dalton and drummer Gary Byrne. With a sound that mixes folk, blues-rock and indie flavors, the band released its debut album What About the Tip Jars?, in 2009 to international acclaim and quickly began touring around Ireland, Germany, Russia and the UK. After two years on the road, the band entered the studio once again to record its follow-up record, Keep On Keepin' On, which was released in 2012.
