Catalan singer Sergio Dalma, born Josep Sergi Capdevila Querol, took a liking to music at a very young age and started performing with choirs and bands. His win on the TV show Gent d'aqui won him a regular spot at a famous club in Barcelona. Dalma released his debut album Esa Chica es Mía in 1989. Its eponymous lead single became a huge success in the Iberian American region and charted in Spain and many Latin American Countries. His second album Sintiéndonos la Piel released in 1991. That same year, he represented Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest and finished fourth. The song that he performed, "Bailar pegados," became his first true international success and marked his entry in the US. He continued riding on this success with the release of brilliant albums over the years. 2008's A Buena Hora became his 14th studio album. It was followed by the three multi-platinum albums Trece, Via Dalma and Via Dalma II.
