During the third weekend in September, about 500 buildings all over London open their doors to the public for free. This is your chance to catch a glimpse of the interior of both secret gems and famous sights (e.g. Lloyd's Building) which are normally closed to the public. The participants will include buildings of all kinds, as the goal of the event is to "foster public awareness and appreciation of architecture and the building environment". This is London's contribution to a European-wide initiative of architectural appreciation.
