Baptiste Trotignon is a French jazz pianist and composer who initially started playing the piano at age 6. Trotignon released his debut solo album, Solo, in 2003 and his material frequently seeks to channel the forceful sonics of bands like Led Zeppelin and The Rolling Stones into the confines of his piano. Having since continued to release well-received albums in addition to maintaining a regular performance schedule, Trotignon has defined himself as one of his generation's more formidable Paris-based pianists.
