Held in Tom Lee Park in conjunction with Memphis in May, this event has gained nationwide prestige and is often featured on TV shows, such as the Today Show,Good Morning America and Prime Time Live. More than 90,000 people attend the festival each year. Called the "Superbowl of Swine," this festival offers cash prizes to winners of various categories (such as whole hog). Other events include the Miss Piggy Contest, hog calling and a barbecue sauce competition.
