New Mexico-based Americana singer/songwriter Ryan Bingham first began performing in 2007, grabbing the attention of fans and music critics with his raspy, Tom Waits-esque voice. After signing to Lost Highway Records, he formed a backing band known as The Dead Horses with whom he tours and records. The young artist's fame came, however, after he recorded the theme song "The Weary Kind," for Academy Award winning film Crazy Heart. This also snagged Bingham an Academy Award for "Best Original Song." Since then, Bingham has continued to release new music and play shows for much larger audiences.
