Though not as well-known as the Oktoberfest, the Frühlingsfest (Spring Festival) is smaller and just as much fun, when the Munich fairground showmen and market vendors organize a little funfair on the Theresienwiese. In fact, the Frühlingsfest is a bit like the Octoberfest for insiders - the beer tents and fun-fair rides are still there, but the tourists are gone.
